I deleted monika.chr by accident, and can't seem to find the files anywhere on the internet. I'd download the game again, but my university charges for internet use so I'd rather avoid it. Thought I would ask on here first, just to check if someone could upload the files to google drive or somewhere. If so, it would be much appreciated. Monika’s “.chr” file Decoded: After opening Monika’s “.chr” file, I noticed it looked like an image file. So I renamed the file extension to “.png” and got the image below. The image resembles a ring of fire with some form of QR code in the middle, however this was not a QR code.

Who is your favorite Doki Doki character? Sayori, Monika, Yuri, or Natsuki? Let’s look at each of them in details.

Sayori. She used to be a great, positive girl until she fell in love with the main character. After her confession, she started to write depressive poems. Her depression was only increasing. Eventually, she ended her life by committing suicide. She really wanted a lead character to be happy, even with others, but felt jealous. Unfortunately, we see her just in the 1st and 4th acts, while she hanged herself and the players could not see her for a while.

Monika. That is a very skeptical and unusual President of the Club. When playing, you understand that she has her self-consciousness, and she leads to errors in game, breaking it. You can’t write poems for her until the 3rd Act.

Yuri. She is a real bookworm, although very romantic. She is a Vice-President of the literature club. She is one of those you are able to write poems for. Her favorite color is purple, even her hair is purple.

Natsuki. A “pink” girl, having pink eyes and pink hair. She is the youngest of four girls. Her inner world is beautiful and soft, and her personality is arrogant. This girl is very caring, especially of other girls. However, she is very lonely and desperate.

Just Monika here, filling in for … UUU … the club president, presenting for the very first time, her very own CHR file. Flamboyant, wouldn’t you say? No … maybe … ? (Work with me here!) Whatevs.

You have to admit Sayori’s CHR was a lot more creative: Ogg to spectrograph to QR code, cell phone scan that offers a URL to a real web page. Now, that’s class.

Well, I guess this was one of Monika’s first attempts at trying to change the game’s code. I mean, really, how good are you at Python?

Anyhows, we have a flaming ring. Is that supposed to represent Ouroborus?

Who knows (and who cares, really?) Moving along, we have a square of black and white dots. would you guess those are 1s and 0s? Yeah! Let’s have a round of applause for the little lady with the big satin bow.

I guess I should…introduce myself, or something. Um…my name is…actually, that’s stupid. You obviously already know my name. Sorry.

Anyway…I’m guessing if you were able to put a stop to this, you would have done it by now.

I mean, I know you’re not, like…evil, or anything…because you’ve already helped me so much.

I should really thank you for that. For everything you’ve done. You’re really like a friend to me. So…thank you. So much.

I think…more than anything else…I really don’t want it to all be for nothing.

Everyone else is dead.

Maybe you already know that. I’m sure you do, actually.

But…it doesn’t have to be that way, right?

Well…there’s a lot of stuff I don’t understand. I don’t know if it’s even possible for me to understand it.

But I know that this isn’t my only story.

I can see that now. Really clearly.

And I think everyone else has had the same kind of experience. Some kind of deja vu.

Anyway…I could be totally wrong about this. But I really think you might be able to do something.

I think you might be able to go back…or however you want to put it…

…To go back and tell them what’s going to happen.

If they know ahead of time, then they should be able to avoid it.

They should…if they remember their time with me in the other worlds…they should remember what I tell them.

Yeah. I really think this might be possible. But it’s up to you.
